Coming to the ZenWatch 2, it takes a shot at the Apple Watch by offering two dial sizes and a wide array of customisation options with different bands and materials. It even gets a crown on the right side but it just a power button but not a scrolling unit like the one on Apple Watch.

The Asus ZenWatch 2 comes in two sizes: 49mm stainless steel case with a 22mm strap and 45mm stainless steel case with 18mm strap. It will be available in silver, gunmetal and rose gold colours. Asus has announced about 18 different strap materials for the smartwatch.

The ZenWatch 2 gets a new magnetic charger. Asus hasn’t revealed much about its specifications but is focussing more on its feature list for the time being. All that we know is that it gets AMOLED display with 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 3, is powered by a Qualcomm processor, runs Android Wear and has IP67 water resistance. It has a battery life of about 4 days and it can go even further with that.

It will be joined in by the Wellness app which will serve as your activity tracker. It also gets an improved version of Remote Camera under which you get better control over your smartphone’s camera. The smartwatch also gets ZenUI integration. Details regarding the pricing and other specifications are expected to be announced in future.

Lenova Launches Chrome-cast rival

Lenovo has just launched a new streaming device named the Cast which brings in media streaming on a budget. The Lenovo Cast looks like flattened ball and it connects to your television and smartphones. The company is gunning for the popular Chromecast stick with the new streaming device. It is depending on the better ways for streaming your multimedia to the screen and faster connectivity speeds.

It supports both 2.4 and 5GHz dual band Wi-Fi networks. It has a range of up to 20 meters and has a support for 1080p video playback. How this works is that the content is sent to your TV via a microHDMI cable and standard microUSB plugs into the Lenovo Cast.

The Lenovo Cast has support for DLNA, Miracast and Google Cast as standard which makes it a better and more versatile streaming stick. The Teewee 2 was recently launched in India for Rs 2,399 and the Chromecast retails for Rs 2,999. This one will cost slightly higher than the two when it reaches India and can be expected to be pegged around the Rs 3,500-4,000 mark. It will go on sale globally in August at a starting price of $49.
