Teacher's Day is celebrated as a tribute to the valuable contribution

it is the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, a prominent

paid to noted scholar and former president Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan to
celebrate his birth anniversary. Dr Radhakhrishnan believed that
"teachers should be the best minds in the country".
